93-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Sample taken from new and one year old barrel. A rich and even purple, with a dash of new wood. The wood gives an extra dimension which will need to integrate but the essential joyous nature of this hillside vineyard shines through. He thinks he has the best balance here since he started the exchange deal to get these grapes in 2015. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted: December 2023."

90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis En La Rue de Vergy has turned out very nicely, offering up attractive aromas of cherries, raspberries, violets and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and fine-boned, mineral palate that reflects its higher altitude origins.
