The racy, delineated and refined flavors possess fine length and balance on the less obviously austere finale. This could use better depth though it should be able to develop more in time. Being located on the "wrong side" of the D974 would suggest "La Justice" should be of little interest. However, a fault line of limestone runs directly through the vineyard. That, combined with sandy topsoil, allows for great drainage, which makes this one the best non-premier cru vineyards in Gevrey. Tasted blind, many people would (and do) mistake it for 1er cru Chambolle as it combines both depth and elegance unique to other vineyards in Gevrey.
