90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Gilbert notes that La Justice always needs to be picked early as you have to watch the ripening. The yield in 2017 of 40 hl/ha is a lot for this vineyard, which they have made since 1995, but he feels that such generosity has done the wine good. Fullish red purple, with a richer softer strawberry nose with a few darker more animal notes alongside. A touch firm up front, but there is a really engaging vibrant yet ripe red fruit behind. Excellent length, very promising. Tasted: November 2018."

91 points CellarTracker.com community score.

Being located on the "wrong side" of the D974 would suggest "La Justice" should be of little interest. However, a fault line of limestone runs directly through the vineyard. That, combined with sandy topsoil, allows for great drainage, which makes this one the best non-premier cru vineyards in Gevrey. Tasted blind, many people would (and do) mistake it for 1er cru Chambolle as it combines both depth and elegance unique to other vineyards in Gevrey.
