This is very substantial, rather a classic Felettig, less nuanced than some though certainly with a fine depth of flavour. No doubt about the density, has it just surrendered a touch of elegance? It offers intense red fruit on the nose, with touches of espresso and tobacco coming through with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. This feels fresh and composed; it is linear towards the finish with a dab of white pepper from the stems. Very fine. Drink: 2027-2045. (Jan 2024)"
