92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Carrières 1er Cru has a backward, almost surly bouquet at the moment, featuring dark berry fruit, hints of licorice and cedar notes. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy red fruit, quite succulent and fleshy, with blueberry, black currant and a light sprinkling of white pepper on the finish. Good persistence here. Impressive. Drink: 2023-2043. (Jan 2020)"
91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Also from 60 year old vines With 35% whole bunch. Full purple colour with a light nose at first. Densely concentrated with a few tannins behind. Very pure with an attractive tingle, more red fruit than black, leading to a juicy finish behind with some well balanced tannins and excellent length. Tasted: November 2019."
90-93 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(there are only two owners of Les Carrières and Felettig is the only producer; from a .40 ha parcel; <35% whole clusters). There is a pretty hint of exotic tea to the ultra-spicy nose of red currant and various dark berries. The mouthfeel is once again super-sleek with excellent intensity and minerality while exuding a highly beguiling inner mouth perfume that adds to the appeal of the linear, delineated and sneaky long finish. This beauty is sufficiently firm that it should amply reward extended keeping. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2020)"
