92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny “les Carrières” from Domaine Felettig is really lovely, as this very chalky climat has a great base of hard limestone that really delivers great bounce and breed. The excellent nose delivers scents of red plums, sappy cherries, cocoa, stony chalky, a touch of fresh thyme and a fine framing of vanillin oak. I did not ask, but I intuit that this wine was also raised in its customary fifty percent new wood, based on its closer structural similarity to the Combottes than the Feusselottes. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and sappy at the core, with suave tannins, fine focus and very good grip on the long, nascently complex finish. This will be lovely, but give it five or six years. Drink: 2020-2050. (Mar/Apr 2014)"

92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is beautifully elegant and complex with airy aromas of black raspberry, cassis and anise nuances. The seductively textured flavors are lush, even opulent on the mid-palate yet tighten up considerably on the overtly mineral-driven finish that culminates in a mildly austere and firm finish that delivers excellent persistence. This is not as concentrated as the Feusselottes but it's even finer - good stuff and worth your attention. Drink: 2019+. (Jan 2015)"

Tasting notes: This is the only bottling of Carrières on the market and exhibits a unique spiciness we've yet to detect elsewhere in Chambolle. Highly recommended.
