91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Combottes exhibits notes of cherries, grilled squab, dark chocolate and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate that's rich and succulent, with a sweet core of ripe fruit and powdery structuring tannins, concluding with a long finish. (Feb 2020)"
90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Rich full purple, no whole bunch, meaty but still fresh, 100% new wood experiment on this and all the 1ers crus. This changes the style somewhat but the wine can probably live with it. Some wood tannins at the finish, alongside medium bodied deep red fruit. Tasted: November 2019."
