92-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes is ample and perfumed, wafting from the glass with aromas of plums, orange zest, potpourri and spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a pure and vibrant core of fruit, melting tannins and a saline finish, it's immensely charming. (1/18/24)"
92-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Some whole bunch vinification for the Damodes. Mid crimson purple, with dark raspberry on the nose. There is a juicy quality and some finesse, with a fine, quite intense, fresh strawberry on the palate, and still a little structure at the finish which needs the wine to flesh out. (Oct 2023)"
91-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "More evident wood frames ripe, cool and airy aromas that are more from the dark side of the fruit spectrum. The sleek, delicious and attractively vibrant flavors flash good minerality and tension, both of which can be found on the balanced, complex and solidly persistent finish. This is lovely and very Damodes. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2024)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "A width and freshness to this perfume – faintly spiced – as it approaches Vosne. Hmm – here is clearly extra mouth-filling volume, the finest of velour – but ultra-elegant finishing, that’s such a beautiful wine – porcelain in its combination of strength but fineness of weight – bravo! (8/16/24)"
