94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Much more massive of course than the Echezeaux which preceded it. There are no stems retained, though Jérôme Flous thinks he might like to try some in Clos Vougeot. A reductive wood note is slightly interfering with the purity of the nose. Certainly very sweet fruit on the palate, on the chunky side, but that’s fine for a young Clos Vougeot. Tasted: November 2020."

95 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Great volume in the soft, worked and bloody flesh of the Clos-de-Vougeot, whose oak knows how to integrate, but which should be left to age for at least ten years. (2022)"

93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of cherries, wild berries, incense and loamy soil, framed by a deft touch of spicy new oak, introduce the 2019 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, rich and layered wine that's elegantly muscular, with terrific depth and concentration. Long and penetrating, this is a fine longer-haul proposition from Faiveley. (Jan 2021)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru comes from Faiveley’s 1.27-hectare parcel. It has a floral nose with potpourri and light lavender aromas that partially occlude the fruit expression. The palate is lithe on the entry with modest depth and quite tertiary in style, and a keen thread of acidity lends freshness on the finish. A little austere in style, it opens with aeration to offer a very minerally finish. Here, it put the Echézeaux 2019 in its place. Drink: 2025-2045. (Dec 2020)"

92-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(blended from 3 separate lieux-dits, two near the bottom and one near the top). A distinctly earthy and exceptionally fresh nose speaks of the pure essence of various red berries and a whiff of underbrush. There is both excellent density and richness to the imposingly scaled flavors that culminate in a delineated, sappy and markedly austere yet refreshing finale. This is a classically styled Clos that will take its sweet time maturing. Drink: 2036+. (Jan 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "3 parcels – of the 2 gates, one is right in the middle. Yes – a floral punch – such a delightfully perfumed nose. Mouth-filling an airy structure and clarity of mouth-watering flavour. Certainly a little tannin but there’s no grain to find. A really great clos of sinewy, brilliant flavour. Bravo! Super-impressive persistence of flavour. (Dec 2020)"
