92 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes has a far more convincing bouquet than the village cru with more complexity in terms of fruit profile, here as much red as black, with superior mineralité and delineation. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry. This is a structured wine but with ample black dusky fruit, a little introverted in style at the moment, perhaps closing down after bottling. Yet there is a sense of coiled up energy here and I admire the precision expressed on the finish. This is worth checking out, although it needs 4-5 years before it reaches its drinking plateau. Tasted October2016. Drink: 2020-2038. (6/30/17)"
