93 points Tom Hewson (Decanter): "A solitary Chardonnay-led cuvée in the Egly-Ouriet portfolio, this nevertheless feels like one of the family with its expressive Mirabelle plum, tangy lemon and toasted nut aromatics, finishing with an energetic chalky squeeze. Francis Egly is a fan of the 'perfect' 2018 vintage, and this example shows admirable focus and concentration for the year. A blend of 70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir and 15% Meunier from Egly's vineyard in the village of Bisseuil. Drinking Window: 2024-2030. (1/7/24)"
92-93 points Essi Avellan, MW: "(70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier). This 2017-based cuvée is the second blend of Egly-Ouriet from the south-facing 1.5ha plot in Bisseuil. Reserves from the preceding year make up 40% of the blend. In the Egly manner, the wine is born in oak barrels, 10% new. The coolly fruity, stylishly peppery nose offers floral, aniseed, pencil-shaving and lemony tones. Blocking the malolactic fermentation contributes to the lively freshness despite the ample, fleshy fruitiness. Creamy-rich on the palate, with a lacy texture. This ends on a pure and transparent sensation of flinty minerality. (Feb 2023)"
92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Based on the 2018 vintage, the latest release of Egly's NV Brut Vignes de Bisseuil was disgorged this year with two grams per liter dosage. Offering up aromas of sweet orchard fruit and crisp white peach mingled with notions of white flowers, praline and freshly baked bread, it's medium to full-bodied, pillowy and charming, with a fleshy core of fruit and a racy, chalky spine. It's a bright, precise rendition of this Chardonnay-dominant cuvée. Drink: 2023-2033. (12/14/23)"
92 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (The Wine Independent): "The NV Les Vignes de Bisseuil Premier Cru Extra Brut is a blend of 80% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir, and 10% Pinot Meunier from estate vines located in the 1er Cru of Bisseuil. The blend is based on the 2016 vintage, and it was barrel fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in barrel on lees for 52 months before being disgorged in November 2021. It has 3 g/L dosage. Pale lemon-gold in color, it comes bounding out with ready-to-go notes of fresh grapefruit, raspberry leaves, and Golden Delicious apples, followed by hints of pear drops, marzipan, and clover honey. The palate is refreshingly dry and energetic with youthful citrus and crunchy apple flavors, supported by a very fine mousse, finishing long and zesty with impressive purity and precision. Alcohol 12.5%. Drink: 2022-2034. (11/3/22)"
91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The current release of Egly-Ouriet “les Vignes de Bisseuil” non-vintage Brut is from the base year of 2017. The wine is composed of a blend of eighty percent chardonnay and ten percent each of pinot meunier and pinot noir, with all of the vines located in the village of Bisseuil. It is barrel-fermented and the vins clairs are aged in cask, with again, ten percent new each year. It was disgorged in November of 2021 after fifty-two months on its fine lees and finished with a dosage of three grams per liter. The wine delivers an excellent aromatic constellation of apple, pear, hazelnut, warm bread, chalky soil tones, plenty of smokiness and gentle foundation of buttery oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite brisk, with a fine core and mineral drive, frothy mousse and very good length and grip on the still quite youthful finish. This is a very good bottle that will be even better if given another year or so in the cellar to let its fine spine of acidity relax a bit more. 2024-2045. (JulAug 2022)"
