95 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(100% meunier from 2 hectares of 40-year-old vines on a south-facing slope in premier cru Vrigny; aged 36 months on lees; 4g/L dosage). ‘Vrigny is sandy, without a lot of chalk or great minerality, but it’s perfect for making a fruity and easy-to-drink meunier,’ Francis says. ‘We need to wait at least three years for the yeast and ferment character to subside.’ He crafts one of Champagne’s most flattering single-vineyard meuniers, faithfully translating every detail of the succulent depth of this grape’s enticing full golden-yellow hue, overflowing in fleshy black cherry, red plum and white nectarine fruit. It resonates with varietal mixed spice and the biscuity complexity and crème brûlée of long lees age and deep reserves. Tangy, vibrant acidity lingers long through a finish at once salty and mineral, and at the same time creamy and luscious. Deliciously rich, ripe and alluring, this is meunier that radiates with the full grandeur of Egly. (2020-2021)"
95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "[$95 list] The terrific NV Champagne Les Vignes de Vrigny is a rich, powerful, full-bodied yet incredibly elegant effort that offers a rare mix of both richness and freshness. Plenty of orchard fruits, some stone minerality, a vibrant, seamless mousse, and a crisp finish all make for a viscerally thrilling Champagne that I’m sure will keep for at least another decade. This cuvée is all Pinot Meunier and it shows in the depth and richness on the palate. (3/27/19)"
