93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 White Savage is hand-sorted before being processed into Nomblot concrete tanks for alcoholic fermentation; 30% of the grapes are left whole bunch. It has an intense nose, not overt fruit but rather scents of wet wool, candle wax and lanolin, all beautifully defined. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, a slightly waxy texture and touches of cereal and grilled hazelnut toward the persistent finish. It is not a wine for every palate, but those who like it will love it. (April 2022)"

93 points Tim Atkin, MW: "A return to our roots, is how Duncan Savage describes the most recent release of his signature white blend, which has dispensed with Chenin Blanc to focus on Sauvignon Blanc with 24% Semillon for the first time since 2014. Pithy, taut and grapefruity with subtle wood, a hint of bitterness, a herbal lift and the focus and concentration to age. 2021-2028."

91 points Wine Spectator: "[$46 list] Notes of toasted hazelnut and honeycomb are a rich and creamy thread underscoring flavors of poached apricot, lemon curd and elderflower in this vibrant, medium-bodied white. Lightly fleshy, yet well-cut and refreshing, with minerally hints of flint and talc on the finish. Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Chenin Blanc. Drink now through 2026. 827 cases made, 372 cases imported. (7/31/21)"
