94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "The white wines can sometimes be overlooked at Domaine Dujac, such is the quality of the reds, but they shouldn't be. This comes from a parcel of 50 to 70-year-old vines that was picked very early on August 29th. Beautifully balanced between freshness and concentration, it has 15% new wood, notes of cinnamon and vanilla spice and racy, stony acidity. Drink: 2021-2028. (10/20/18)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The vines are somewhat affected by virus but still delivered 45 hl/ha. There is some elegance to this along with the characteristic plumpness of the vineyard, white fruit with a citrus tang, balanced and relatively long. (Nov 2019)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes reveals attractive aromas of pear, orange oil, toasted hazelnuts and pastry cream. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a richer, more textural and more concentrated profile than the Folatières, differences of both site and vine age being at play here. (1/9/20)"

92-94 points Fine Wine Review: "Floral and pear aromas, more nervous than the Folatières. In the mouth, dense, pure pear fruit, more richness than Folatières, nice minerality, overall elegance. (4/24/20)"

91-93 points/'Sweet Spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .60 ha parcel). Here too there is a vague suggestion of the exotic to the aromas nut oil, pear liqueur and floral nuances that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is better density still to the delicious flavors that also culminate in a dry and firm but not really austere finish that is a bit more complex. Drink: 2028+. (Jun 2020)"

92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Combettes from Dujac Fils et Père has a bit more backend tension and grip than the Folatières, which is already wearing its heart on its sleeve, but it too will drink really well with not a whole lot of bottle age. I really like the nose here, which wafts from the glass in a mix of apple, pear, bee pollen, a hint of almond, a beautiful base of limestone, vanillin oak and a whisper of the beeswax to come with bottle age. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and very long on the backend, with a good core, fine transparency and grip and a long, zesty and quite complex finish. 2023-2050. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has quite an intense bouquet with orange sorbet, mint and green apples, well-defined and powerful. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with a smack of sea salt, good acidity with an almost Meursault-like finish that lingers in the mouth. Maybe not a Les Combettes of immense longevity, but there is breeding here. Drink: 2023-2036. (May 2020)"
