96 pointsWine Enthusiast: "This beautifully perfumed wine shows structure, dark tannins as well as great charm. The acidity is layered with black fruits and dry tannins. Age for 7-8 years or more. (Sep 2011)"

92-95 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2009 Echezeaux (from one of the cooler sites in the vineyard) hovers on the palate in a weightless expression of grace and class. It is impeccably refined from start to finish, with delicate layers of white flowers and sweet spices that add complexity and nuance to the fruit. The wine’s gorgeous inner fragrance and impossibly fine tannins are first-rate. This is another dazzling wine from Dujac. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2034. (May 2011)"

94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2009 Echézeaux is another inward wine. With time in the glass, some of the layers of fruit begin to flesh out, showing the depth I sensed when I tasted the wine from barrel. There is plenty of elegance and finesse, although today the 2010 appears to be more promising by a touch. Drink: 2017-2039. (Apr 2012)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2009 Dujac Echézeaux is a really suave, elegant rendition of the vintage. The bouquet is deep, pure and very, very complex for such a young wine, as it offers up scents of red plums, red and black cherries, vinesmoke, gamebirds, really lovely minerality, a touch of fresh thyme and a deft framing of new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, fullish and very intensely flavored, with a lovely core of fruit, impeccable focus and balance, fine-grained tannins and a very long, complex and bouncy finish. A fine, fine bottle of Echézeaux. 2018-2050. (Nov/Dec 2010)"

93 points Fine Wine Review: "The Echézeaux is mineral with plenty of dark fruit, but still quite closed. The texture is smooth. There is great potential here for the patient. I’d look to 2024-2059 for best drinking. (Issue #137; 2013)"
