91-94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .33 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines; 100% whole clusters in 2021). Firm reduction blocks all but a trace of green tea character. By contrast, there is both solid volume and a lovely texture to the suave, seductive and mouthcoating middleweight flavors that are more powerful than usual, indeed the lingering and complex moderately austere finale is really quite serious. The Dujac Gruenchers is typically half Chambolle and half Morey stylistically speaking, but in 2021, it's much more Morey than Chambolle. Fine quality but patience absolutely necessary. Drink: 2033+. (Jan 2023)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Gruenchers from Domaine Dujac is also excellent, with a very red fruity and perfumed personality this year. The nose jumps from the glass in a mix of red plums, cherries, beetroot, gamebird, chalky soil tones, chocolate, mustard seed, sweet stems, vanillin oak and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is pure, precise and full-bodied, with a lovely core of red fruit, excellent mineral drive, fine-grained tannins and a very long, suavely tannic finish. Fine, fine juice. 2035-2085. (Nov/Dec 2022)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Offering up aromas of sweet plums, berries, orange zest, spices and peonies, the 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers is medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with impressive mid-palate fat, lively acids and powdery tannins. (Jan 2023)"

92 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The Chambolle premier cru Gruenchers is done in a classic Chambolle style with a somewhat lighter colour and a focus on elegance and freshness. It is perfumed, and the bright cherry flavours have a lot of finesse, but it lacks the approachable fleshy texture of the wines from Morey. There is a bit of astringency, but this slightly bitter note leads to a lingering finish and balances the wine. This wine is thoroughly pleasant, if not overwhelming—picked 28 September. Drinking Window: 2025-2045. (Nov 2022)"

92 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2023)

90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "100% whole cluster. An attractive mid purple, lighter than the Morey wines. Not a lot of perfume. Less ripe red fruit on the palate, rhubarb notes, good acidity providing tension at the back, while the tannins are sufficiently ripe not to play a part. Drink from 2026-2032. (Dec 2022)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "Containing 100% whole clusters, the 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruechers 1er Cru has a fresh, quite marine-influenced bouquet, well-defined with crushed rock scents percolating through the mixture of red berries and briary. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. A creamy texture emanates from the oak, fresh with a sapid, cracked black pepper finish. Give this 4-5 years in bottle. Drink: 2025-2042. (Jan 2023)
