95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Abundant blackberry fruit, with an edge of rose petals and a texture that is silky but still firmly tannic, with enough structure and extract to lead it to a very satisfying finish. Dujac has a holding of 0.32ha in Les Gruenchers. In 2020 the grapes were picked at just 13% potential alcohol and fermented with a majority of whole bunches prior to ageing in cask (45% new). Drinking Window: 2025-2040. (Nov 2021)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruechers 1er Cru was showing the stem addition a little more than the cuvées. This is well-defined and vibrant, perhaps to some a classic quintessential Dujac. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, again, quite peppery with a grainy, focused finish. I can envisage this livening up a dinner table, an intriguing and quite intellectually-satisfying Chambolle-Musigny. Drink: 2026-2048. (Dec 2021)"

92-94+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers has turned out especially well this year, bursting with notes of peonies, rose petals, orange rind and red berries. Medium to full-bodied, perfumed and enveloping, it's supple and lively, with melting tannins and a seamless, charming profile. (Jan 2022)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Racked to tank in preparation for bottling. Fine deep purple, lovely pepper on the nose, though the fruit is quite dark. Lush rich cherries, this is rather exciting, holding up better than the village wine. The spice and some black tea continue all the way through. (Dec 2021)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Like most of the other following red wines in this lineup, the Gruenchers had been assembled recently in tank, but had not yet had any adjustments made to it in preparation for bottling. The wine is lovely in 2020, albeit quite black fruity in personality, as it delivers scents of black cherries, black plums, pigeon, a lovely base of soil tones, woodsmoke and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, tangy and beautifully sappy at the core, with fine focus and grip, seamless tannins, bouncy acids and a long, beautifully balanced finish. Fine juice. 2032-2080. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
