98 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "The most northerly of the Grand Crus, Mazis feels the influence of the Combe de Lavaux. This explains in good part why these three parcels – one exceptionally old – are always among the last to be harvested at Dugat-Py. The wine starts with a brilliant, beautiful ruby color and has a very supple, medium-bodied palate. The aromas are delicate and lifted with red cherries and raspberries tinged with underbrush. Refreshing acidity and feathery tannins combine into a powdery feel on the long finish. Smoky notes surface as the wine quickly opens in the glass. 2026-50. (2022)"

96 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from .25 ha parcel of 60+ year old vines planted at a density of 14,000/ha in Mazis-Bas - vinified with 90% stems). Here the broad-ranging and strikingly fresh nose also reflects notes of the sauvage, black cherry, raspberry, earth and a wisp of old leather. There is again outstanding density to the equally large-scaled flavors that possess a highly appealing texture before culminating in a dusty, hugely long, youthfully austere and compact finale. Magnificent but I would suggest buying this and then forgetting you own it for at least a decade. Drink: 2038+. (Jan 2023)"
