91-94 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .08 ha parcel; 90% stems). An overtly floral nose combines notes of lavender, violet and rose petal with those of black cherry and subtle forest floor nuances. There is fine richness to the relatively full-bodied flavors that are notably more mineral-driven than those of the Corbeaux, all wrapped in a sleek, seductive and palate coating finale. Drink: 2027+. (Jan 2018)"
93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Fonteny from Domaine Dugat-Py is the most sun-kissed and gourmand of the 2015s I tasted from bottle, wafting from the glass with an inky bouquet of ripe black cherry, cassis, rich soil, wood smoke and currant leaf. On the palate, the wine is lavishly textural and full-bodied, with a round mid-palate, excellent depth and a long, rich finish. This is one of the more dramatic and immediate wines in the cellar in this vintage and should offer a broad drinking window. Drink: 2023-2045. (Apr 2018)"
