92-94 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux includes 70% whole-bunch fruit this year. It has a very attractive and beautifully defined bouquet with mineral-tinged black cherry and cassis fruit, seductive and sensual with one of the best mineral expressions from the domaine's premier crus. The palate is medium-bodied with tensile tannin driven by the crisp acidity, very well balanced and absorbing the 100% new oak deftly toward the slightly candied, crunchy, live-wire finish. This is excellent. Drink: 2022-2045. (Dec 2016)"
91-94 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(80% vendange entier; 100% new oak): Full, saturated red-ruby. Wild crushed blackberry, black cherry, licorice and leather on the nose. Densely packed and sauvage, with its deep dark berry flavors complicated by leather and fresh blood nuances. This very concentrated wine conveys a lovely balance of sweetness and acidity. Finishes with ripe tannins and terrific chewy persistence, with its purple fruit and spice flavors enlivened by minerality. (Jan 2017)"
93 points (16.5/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "Admirable volume and floral length in the Champeaux, whose flavors of citrus peel and citrus fruit on the finish bring vitality after a slightly languid mid-palate. (2018)"
