94 points James Suckling: "A very floral Vosne-Romanee with wonderful elegance, gliding over your palate, in spite of the firm core of fine tannins and the lemon-zest acidity that drives the long, straight finish. Really lingers at the end, and has a degree of vitality that suggests this has good aging potential. Drink or hold. (7/18/22)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Glowing purple with a beautifully lively heady intense but balanced hits the front of the palate full on and continues very well, all red fruit with a good cut of acidity, a touch of wood tannin. Promising stuff. (Nov 2021)"

92 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2022).

89-92 points/'Outstanding/Top Value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from several lieux-dits including <20% from the 1er Les Chaumes). An exuberantly spicy nose features ripe aromas of dark cherry liqueur, sandalwood and exotic jasmine tea. The medium-bodied flavors are not quite as dense though they are, as one would reasonably expect, more refined with even better depth and persistence on the well-balanced if youthfully austere finale. Lovely juice and especially so for its level. Drink: 2030+. (Apr 2022)"

91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Vosne-Romanée from Maison Joseph Drouhin was showing even better potential at the time of my visit at the end of November. The nose is black fruity in the style of the vintage, delivering scents of black plums, black raspberries, espresso, dark soil, woodsmoke, pigeon, a touch of bay leaf, juniper berry and cedar. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and shows off lovely sappiness at the core, with bright acids, fine focus and grip, ripe, suave tannins and a long, energetic and complex finish. Lovely juice. 2030-2065. (Nov/Dec 2021)"

91 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village has a tiny reduction, but there is some lovely fruit tucked underneath. Very focused. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins that frame the blue-tinged fruit. Lovely floral notes, wilted violets towards the finish that belies the grip that becomes more apparent with time. Drink: 2025-2040. (May 2022)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(Some Chaumes 1er included in this). What a nose – that’s got clarity, depth and such an invitation. Round but with energy, the flavour framed by a little tannin – density of flavour but so mouth-watering. Really excellent again… (1/17/22)"
