95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Clean bright pale lemon colour, a touch of banana fruit on the nose. This is very intense at the front of the palate and then stretches through to the back, with good acidity, fresh apples, joyous, with very good long intense aftertaste. Beautifully balanced with a sensual perfume returning at the end. Tasted: November 2018."
93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is excellent, unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet citrus oil, beeswax, white flowers and oyster shell. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, layered and satiny on the attack, with considerable concentration and structuring dry extract, succulent underlying acids and a long, chalky finish. From the south-facing climat Les Languettes, this is one of the highlights of Drouhin's 2017 portfolio. (Jan 2019)"
93-95 points Fine Wine Review: "This is the Drouhin estate version of Corton-Charlemagne; there is also a négociant version that I did not taste. The nose is stony and chalky. In the mouth, the wine is powerful, fleshy, and forward with yellow peach fruit, freshness, length, and roundness. But this wine does not have the tension of a classic Corton-Charlemagne. (5/19/19)"
94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "The Drouhins' parcel is entirely located in the climat of Les Languettes in Aloxe-Corton. It's a rich, ripe, well-upholstered style with considerable power and intensity, spicy, honeyed flavours, some leesy weight and deftly handled 30% new wood. Drinking Window: 2019-2023. (Nov 2018)"
