95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "This isn’t strictly speaking a domaine wine from Joseph Drouhin, but the contract with the Marquis de Laguiche is so long that it might as well be. Showing impressive concentration, yeasty, textured weight, delightful 25% new wood and notes of beeswax and lanolin, it finishes with freshness, minerality, commendable poise and some skin-tannin grip. Drinking Window: 2022-2030. (Oct 2019)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Pale lemon colour, the nose is quite discreet. Reserved at first with a block of dense white fruit behind, some greengage notes but still feels fully, correctly ripe. No lack of density here, racy and steely at the finish. (Nov 2019)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Marquis de Laguiche Morgeot is simply outstanding. The bouquet is deep, pure and very refined (as always!), delivering a beautiful blend of pear, golden delicious apple, pastry cream, chalky soil tones, acacia blossoms and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, long and already silky on the attack, with a lovely core of fruit, excellent soil signature, bright acids and fine purity and precision on the long and complex finish. 2022-2050. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Marquis de Laguiche is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of golden orchard fruit, peach, confit citrus, honeycomb and toast. Medium to full-bodied, sumptuous and textural, it's satiny and enveloping, with a fleshy core underpinned by succulent acids, concluding with a nicely defined finish despite its gourmand, elegantly sun-kissed profile. Drink: 2021-2040. (Jan 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "For a long time sold as Morgeot, not Morgeot 1er, but it was always a 1er. Laguiche owned since 1361, together with Drouhin since the 1940s, usually 3 different harvests. Rather a tighter nose, only suggesting depth. Fresh again, layered but again with nice energy – here no oaky make-up. This plays well over the palate. Delicious, excellent wine! (Dec 2019)"
