97 points Erin Brooks (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is scented of cranberries, blackberries and tangerine peel with nuances of Angostura bitters, woodsmoke and tobacco leaves. The medium-bodied palate is concentrated, layered and perfumed, with a silky texture, mouthwatering acidity and lingering, detailed flavors defining the finish. 310 cases were made. Drink 2022-2029 (Dec 2022)."

96 points & '#17 Top 100 Wines of 2022' Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2020 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is similarly hued and has a beautiful bouquet of red and black raspberries, spring flowers, scorched earth, and graphite. It's balanced, has perfectly integrated oak, freshness and richness, and a great finish. It's one of the finest Pinot Noirs from this vineyard in 2020. Drink it any time over the coming 10-12 years, and it will keep even longer if you're so inclined. Drink 2022-2034 (Aug 2022)."

Producer notes: "We began working with fruit from the old vines (50 years) at Sanford & Benedict in 2018, paying by the acre for our sections to ensure organic farming. The grapes have that old vine magic, and we decided to make a single vineyard wine from this terrific terroir. The 2020 is a fantastic representation of that site. The wine is cool, sappy, and exuberant, with fresh red fruits, a gloriously pure texture and some real intensity that lingers on the palate. The wine was aged on its lees for 16 months in French oak barrels (25% new) and bottled without fining nor filtration. Extremely Limited. Only 325 cases produced."
