Producer notes: "The 2020 Radian Pinot Noir is, typical to its site, deep and complex, with a dark red fruit profile (some black cherries and red plums, with raspberry liqueur, pomegranate) with leafy rhubarb and forest floor notes, a streak of granite and minerals, and a good solid backbone of herb-edged, but round tannins. The oodles of fruit are packed tightly together, and the resulting texture is unctuous and silky, until finely wrought, citrus-laced acids, pick up the fruit and gently draw it out on the palate for minutes. This wine was made in tiny quantities (490 cases)."
Not yet reviewed; 2019 vintage rate 96 points by Jeb Dunnuck: "Always one of the darker, more concentrated wines in the lineup, the 2019 Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard is no exception and boasts a deeper ruby hue to go with powerful blackberry and black cherry fruits as well as peppery herbs, forest floor, and rocky, marine-like minerality. I always seem to find a certain stem influence in this wine, yet it’s just about completely destemmed. Medium-bodied on the palate, with both ripe tannins and integrated acidity, this pure, beautifully balanced Pinot Noir will shine for 10-12 years. Give it a year in the cellar. Drink: 2022-2033.
