97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2021 Chardonnay Rita's Crown Vineyard is magnificent. Soaring aromatics and fine, sculpted fruit are among the signatures of this superb, pedigreed Chardonnay. The purity of the flavors is just striking. Deceptively medium in body with tons of intensity, the Rita's Crown is one of the most compelling wines from Santa Barbara I tasted this year. Drink: 2023-2031. (Sep 2023)"

95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "I loved the purity and vibrancy in the 2021 Chardonnay Rita's Crown Vineyard, another clean, medium to full-bodied, impeccably made Chardonnay from this team. Mulled orchard fruits, toasted spice, candied lemon zest, and chalky minerality all flow to a medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure, elegant Chardonnay with terrific depth as well as length. Aged 18 months in 43% new oak, this smoking good Chardonnay will evolve for at least a decade. Drink: 2023-2033. (8/30/23)"

93 points Erin Brooks (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Chardonnay Rita's Crown Vineyard was barrel fermented and matured for 18 months in 43% new French oak. It has savory aromas of red apple, dried hay, roasted almond and matchstick. The light-bodied palate has a creamy texture, restrained citrus fruit and mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, flinty finish. It unfolds as it spends time in the glass and will benefit from 2-3 years in bottle or some time in a decanter. 330 cases were made. Drink: 2024-2034. (1/31/24)"
