98 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "What a ravishing nose of yellow peaches and flowers! Breathtakingly racy and vibrant with wet-stone minerality that leaves you speechless. Dry white cannot taste more crystalline than this, the citrusy freshness at the finish almost off the scale. Still quite radical, but this is so young and has so much energy. Filigree finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold. (12/13/22)"
96 points Ulrich Sautter (Falstaff Guide) (11/21/22).
95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The very steep Dellchen vineyard in Norheim is tucked in between volcanic cliffs on either side of the vineyard hillside, and coupled with the due south exposition of this site, it tends to produce beautifully ripe to fruit to couple with its base of slate. The 2021 Dellchen GG from Weingut Dönnhoff comes in at thirteen percent this year and delivers a stunning aromatic constellation of lemon, blood orange, a beautiful base of salty slate minerality, wild yeasts, lemongrass and white flowers. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and powerfully built, with broad shoulders, a brisk girdle of acidity, a rock solid core of fruit, great precision and a mineral bath of a finish on the impeccably balanced backend. This is going to be a stunning wine, but it is firmly buttoned up behind its structural chassis right now and is going to demand an extended period of hibernation in the cellar before it starts to drink with generosity. But, once it opens up, stand back, as it is going to be explosive! 2035-2085+. (Mar/Apr 2023)"
