96 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "Dönnhoff's 2021 Felsenberg GG is pure, bright and flinty on the deep, intense and iodine nose that also reveals phenolic complexity. Full-bodied but refined and elegant on the plate, this is a balanced and light-footed, rich and dense Felsenberg with juicy fruit and crystalline acidity, whereas the tannins step back compared to the Höllenpfad im Mühlenberg. The finish is rich yet refined and saline, with delicate lemon bitters and lush fruit. Although the 2021 is already charming, the wine needs some years on the bottle to show all its complexity and finesse without its youthful charm. This is not an austere wine that needs to soften its edges; it's already dangerously good or even too good to cause patience. But the wine will reward those who can wait. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022 Drink: 2022-2060. (Aug 2022)"

95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Felsenberg “Turmchen” Riesling Grosses Gewächs from Weingut Dönnhoff is another simply gorgeous wine in this vintage. The “Turmchen”, or watchtower, is not officially part of the name of this grand cru vineyard, so the name does not appear on the label, but is drawn in to remind folks that the wine hails from vines that surround this beautiful old stone tower at the top of the vineyard. The wine comes in at thirteen percent octane in this vintage and delivers a stunningly complex and refined bouquet of lemon, tart orange, pink grapefruit, elder flowers, wild yeasts and a beautifully precise expression of volcanic minerality. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and seamless, with a superb core of fruit, great mineral drive and cut, ripe acids and a very long, focused and perfectly balanced finish. This is not as powerful as the Dellchen GG, but every bit as complex and mineral-infused, just packaged in the sleekest structural package one can imagine. Great juice. 2033-2085+. (Mar/Apr 2023)"

95 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "A rough diamond that is harder than almost anything else in the known universe! Radically stony and quite smoky, too. Ample body with ripe acidity that’s not at all pointed, yet this is a pretty austere wine with enormous drive at the bold finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold. (7/25/22)"

94+ points Fine Wine Review: "Good acidity, concentration, depth, intensity, mineral, citric. (9/1/22)"
