94 points Wine Spectator: "A deep, brooding Pinot that slowly unfolds with expressive black cherry, dusty mocha, clove and other spice flavors that fan out on the long, savory finish. Drink now through 2030. (3/31/22)"
93 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "Glistening ruby. Expansive, oak-accented cherry and dark berry aromas hint at vanilla, espresso and licorice. In a weighty style, but surprisingly energetic as well, offering sweet cherry cola, mocha and vanilla flavors that turn spicier on the back half. This is showing a lot of oak influence right now, but there appears to be ample fruit to back it up. Finishes long and smoky, with a reverberating dark berry note and strong tenacity. Drink: 2024-2034. (Feb 2022)"
92 points Wine Enthusiast: "This wine, which spent 16 months in French oak, slightly more than half of it new, retains tight and compact flavors of brambly blackberries, herbs and lightly composted earth. The acidity is as prominent as the fatter, toasty barrel flavors, and the impression is that more bottle age will be a real advantage before you pull the cork. Alcohol 14.5%. (Dec 2021)"
