93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Racked and returned to old barrel in September. Clear mid lemon. The nose starts quietly before the stones show through along with quite an elegant lemon scented fruit. Long and stylish, a little bit of flesh shows through towards the back along with some well-judged oak, this is going to be a relatively classic Corton Charlemagne. (Oct 2021)"

92-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from Le Charlemagne). Croix noted that this had just been racked and not surprisingly, the nose was essentially dominated by sulfur. Otherwise, there is much better freshness and excellent punch to the focused, tautly muscular and mineral-inflected flavors that display focused power on the chiseled, youthfully austere and compact finale. This is potentially a classic rendition of the genre and extremely promising. (Apr 2022)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru had been racked a month prior to my visit. Lovely on the nose, Clementine, honey and white flowers, this is very seductive. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, clean and pure with a touch of stem ginger and grilled almonds on the finish, this is very well crafted. Excellent. Drink: 2024-2040. (Dec 2021)"

91-93+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Notes of citrus pith, pastry cream, blanched almond and peach introduce the 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, a full-bodied, satiny and enveloping wine that's concentrated and penetrating, concluding with chalky grip. This was less put together than the reds when I tasted it, so I'm looking forward to revisiting it in bottle. (Jan 2022)"

92 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Luxurious ripe apple fruit character, with hints of hazelnut and butter. The texture is rich and dense, yet without heaviness. Very pleasant indeed. The grapes for the Corton Charlemagne of David Croix come from a quarter-hectare in Le Charlemagne above the holdings of Bonneau du Martray. The fruit was picked early, crushed and fermented in cask (one-quarter new). Drinking Window: 2025-2050. (Nov 2021)"
