92-94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "One of the more aromatic, lifted wines in the range, the 2012 Beaune Pertuisots is laced with dark red berry, cinnamon and spiced notes, all supported by silky, finely-knit tannins. The 2012 is super-impressive for many reasons, including its exceptional balance, overall brilliance and open, alluring personality. This is a fabulous showing. David Croix adds that this parcel was affected by sunburn issues, which lowered yields by another 15-20% because of the fruit that was discarded during sorting. Drink: 2017-2032. (Jan 2014)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "From the southern side of the town of Beaune, the 2012 Beaune 1er Cru Pertuisots is the smallest of the Premier Crus from Domaine des Croix, but one that has gone up in David’s estimation, as he has familiarized himself with the red soil vineyard to the extent that it is presently the last Beaune that he pours. Unfortunately, two hot days at the end of July meant that he lost around 15 to 20% of the vineyard because of sunburn. It has a slight more savory, meaty scented vineyard that bears similarities to Pommard. The palate is full in the mouth with fine volume and good grip. The acidity maintains tension while the finish fans out nicely across the mouth, maintaining that slightly meaty style. (Dec 2013)"

92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Gorgeous mid red. Superbly balanced nose with stylish elegance on top of the body. Depth and class, with some tannins at the back, but the fruit is easily the winner. This is approachable now but does not show signs of fading. Tasted: June 2022."
