96 points/'La Coup de Couer,' La Revue du Vin de France: "Wonderful nose of coriander and menthol which exhales fresh vegetal notes in La Forest, a real ball of energy: a brilliant, incisive and dazzling wine, with the fine flavor of citrus zest on the finish. (2022)"

95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Chablis 1er Cru La Forest is the deepest and most complete of Dauvissat's premiers crus, delivering a complex bouquet of orange oil, pear and fresh bread complemented by top notes of iodine, dried white flowers and beeswax. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it's layered and concentrated, with superb mid-palate volume, lively acids and a long, electric finish. Drink: 2027-2055. (Aug 2021)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Chablis Forêts 1er Cru has one of the most marine-influenced aromatics from Dauvissat, well-defined sea spray and oyster shell notes emerging with time. The palate is beautifully focused and powerful, offering dried honey and light spice notes, and gradually building toward the stem-ginger-tinged finish. Excellent. Drink: 2024-2040. (Sep 2020)"

90-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Clean pure, greater depth of lemon and lime. A complex nose offering an interesting range of ripeness. There is a significant volume of fruit and weight on the palate, but needs more time to achieve the optimum balance. (Jul 2020)"

93 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A less elegant but more complex nose reflects plenty of Chablis typicity with its nose of spiced apple, sea breeze, tidal pool, ripe citrus and a touch of the exotic. There is excellent volume to the intense and muscular flavors that brim with both dry extract and minerality before concluding in a bitter lemon and anise-suffused finish that offers just a bit more depth. Like the Montée de Tonnerre, this very powerful effort should be capable of rewarding up to a decade of cellaring. Drink: 2029+. (Oct 2021)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2019 Chablis 'la Forest' from Domaine Dauvissat is every bit as fine as the Montée de Tonnerre. The wine offers up an aromatic constellation of candied lemon peel, pear, a gorgeous base of chalky soil tones, beeswax, white lilies and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and zesty, with a beautiful core of fruit, a fine spine of acidity, excellent focus and grip and a long, seamlessly balanced and complex finish. 2024-2060. (Jan/Feb 2022)"
