94 points Jane Anson (Inside Bordeaux): "(70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon). Well-sculpted and constructed wine, that retains the chewy tannins of En Primeur and promises a long life ahead. Love the cigar box, espresso and campfire smoke notes that permeate through the fresh cassis and sweeter raspberry puree fruits. Drink: 2026-2044. Alcohol 14.5%. (11/21/21)"

94 points Decanter: "Tight and chewy tannins dominate the entry to this wine, with layers of liquorice, cigar box and sappy but concentrated cassis and blackberry fruits. The oak is evident but not overpowering and altogether this is broad-shouldered but well-handled and extracted, showing confidence, poise and estate signature. Drinking Window: 2027-2042. (May 2020)"

92-94 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "A rich, black cherry hue, with a vibrant raspberry rim. I get sweet black cherry and blackberry fruits on the nose, with little threads of violets and soot, and a backdrop of subtly honeyed oak barrel. It has a rather pure presence, the fruit fresh and well-defined, and the palate shows an elegant, savoury, sinewy, medium-bodied substance, with charming fruit to match the nose, with good grip and savoury bite. Charming, showing good tension for this château, with modestly grippy tannins, ripe but balanced with the rest of the palate, and some acid energy. A good vintage for Dassault, the character of the vintage working well with the house style here. (Jun 2020)"

93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Château Dassault is rock-solid, offering a rocking bouquet of red and black fruits, camphor, new leather, cedary herbs, and a touch of flowers. It shows the more streamlined, elegant, yet pure style of the vintage, is medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and a great finish. This is one classy, elegant Saint-Emilion with loads to love. It can be drunk today with a decant or cellared for 10-15 years. Drink: 2022-2037. (4/11/22)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "[$69 list] Ripe and lush, with the warm cassis, plum and blackberry compote profile of the vintage. This is backed by alder and juniper hints as it flows through the dark earth-accented finish. There's a bit of burl here, but everything is in proportion. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2024 through 2038. (3/31/22)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2019 Dassault offers up an attractive combination of dark fruit, spice, leather, tobacco and savory accents. Lush and forward, with terrific persistence, Dassault has much to recommend it. Black cherry, chocolate, licorice, spice and leather build effortlessly in the glass. All the elements are very nicely balanced. Drink: 2025-2039. (Feb 2022)"

93 points James Suckling: "Aromas of blueberries, salted plums, stones, walnut husk, cloves and dried herbs. It’s medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Fresh, tight and mineral. Polished and refined with excellent length. Try in 2025. (2/20/22)"

93 points Peter Moser (Falstaff) (2/16/22).
