(8/4/23)" 92 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "The Frank Cornelissen 2020 Etna Rosso Contrada Campo Re CR is born in a site with very deep topsoils located at the extreme perimeter of the Etna DOC confines. Frank Cornelissen laments that this is certainly not the easiest place to farm grapes (especially in hot and dry vintages like 2017). These results from 2020 show a lot of fruit character and dark cherry concentration with hints of curry leaf, mint, oregano and some of the wild herbs that grow on the volcano. The tannins are softly integrated and the acidity is bright. Mineral nuances add complexity. Drink: 2022-2028. (6/30/23)"
Munjebel CR is an excellent red wine of Sicily, produced with the Nerello Mascalese grape. The wine grows up on volcanic stone over 700 metres of altitude. No filtration and no additives. Effusive notes of red fruits and sweet spieces are the prelude of a fine, elegant and mineral taste.
