93 points La Revue du Vin de France: "The whites are beautifully balanced; deep, dense, fleshy and masterfully elegant... Meursault-Villages is the archetype of the great Meursault--dense, full and refined. (2022)"

91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar)
'Outstanding'/89-91 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a blend of fruit that includes parcels of villages vines in En la Barre, Crotots, Clos de la Baronne and Luraule plus the usual declassified juice from young vines Genevrières and Charmes). A slightly fresher if otherwise similar nose precedes racier and more voluminous flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the delicious, generous and more complex finish that is shaped by citrus-tinged acidity. This is lovely. Drink: 2025+. (Jun 2020)"

89-91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "There are fully 68 barrels of the 2018 Meursault Village this year, a considerable improvement over the usual 50, and the wine is already very inviting, revealing notes of pear, Meyer lemon, hazelnuts, drawn butter and white flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, with good cut to balance its mid-palate amplitude, concluding with a flavorful finish. (Jan 2020)"

90 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pale lemon colour. The 2018 Meursault offers a really racy bouquet then puts on some weight on the palate, though never too much these days chez Lafon. Some almond paste along with light yellow plum fruit, balanced, and with just the length it should have. (Oct 2020)"
