96-98 points Anne Krebiehl (Falstaff): "The lift of redcurrant and raspberry is heady and immediately evocative, its very purity is headiness itself. Peony and a hint of toasty oak are the only things that thether this to the earth. The palate is concentrated, pristine and bright, held in a superfine web of silky tannin. Poise and poetry, depth and delectation. Otherworldly and quite simply magical in its ability to transport. Alcohol 14%. (3/24/21)"

97 points/'Best in Show,' Decanter: "It’s always a treat to taste a wine from Vosne, but our judges look at such wines against their peers, so they have to be good to make progress … and very good indeed to reach Best In Show. This deep, youthful Premier Cru Malconsorts thrilled every judge who tried it. Not only does it encapsulate the appeal of its village with its velvet-textured opulence and ample raspberry and black-cherry fruits, but its fleet-footed vivacity and deft yet firm structure underlines what a great vintage 2019 is. The wine is delicious now, but the potential of this vineyard which sits alongside La Tache is such that those with a chance to cellar a few bottles for their later years won’t regret it. (DWWA 2021)"

93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Picked on 18th September, though I am told it is rare to pick both their plots on the same day. Very dense vibrant purple. Spending time on the nose, which shows some class, but it is the power, which kicks in, the sort of lively cherries, which can come with whole bunch. Really fine sensual finish, very long too. Shows the value of this terroir. (Oct 2020)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru was harvested on different days, as Bichot owns sites on varied soil profiles within the vineyard. Initially closed, it opens nicely to offer dark cherries, bergamot and tea leaf notes. The palate is very harmonious with good backbone, grippy tart red fruit and a mineral-driven, quite sturdy finish. Excellent. Drink: 2023-2038. (Dec 2020)"

93 points James Suckling: "The attractive red-beet and milk-chocolate nose leads you into a full-bodied, tannic wine that’s built for long aging. Plenty of ripe plum on the very bold, almost massive palate. Expands nicely as it aerates, but you need to be patient. Drinkable now, but best from 2024. (7/21/21)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "1.75 ha from 6 sandier parts and lower down heavier soil – the bottom left which is more sandy and the rest which is more clay – there can be 3 days difference in maturity between these two sectors – ‘clearly different wines too, the lower part more massive less complex.’ The only area in 2017 where they did a green harvest. All harvested 9 September despite the differing soil types. A width of perfumed freshness – a deeper cherry-stone impression too. More width and intensity in tandem, layered but also energetic. There’s a lull before the finish which is finely complex and long. Very good wine – today not showing the extra ‘sparkle’ of last year though. (Dec 2020)"
