Notes of freshly crushed blackcurrants, black raspberries, and red plums spring from the glass giving way to wafts of wild thyme, charcoal, and tree bark. The medium to full-bodied palate is lively and expressive, with red and black berry flavors accented with subtle herbal notes framed by approachable tannins, and finishing with impressive energy. Hints of thyme and sage accent cassis and cherries on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is on the fresher, leaner side of that spectrum, framed by fine-grained tannins and finishing with a strong note of mocha. It's a solid, all-around effort at what is a realistic price for Napa Valley. Drink: 2023-2030. (3/29/24)"
