98 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Here comes the boss! The dense grapefruit, rosemary and thyme nose pulls you inexorably into the orbit of this rich and concentrated dry riesling that has enveloping, salty minerality. And, in spite of all this, it is laser-beam bright and has white-flower delicacy at the very deep finish. From 110-year-old vines. From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2023. (9/18/21)"

97 points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Marienburg GG Fahrlay is pure, bright and fresh on the nose and, like the 2021, absolutely true to its terroir with its rocky blue slate. The ripe fruit of the 2020 vintage is obvious here but far from opulence or pure richness. Terroir and vintage are beautifully united here. Rich and juicy yet refined and very delicate on the palate, this is a beautifully textured and balanced, intense and concentrated Fahrlay with fine, saline acidity, fine tannins and these crunchy structural slate elements. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022. Drink: 2026-2050. (Aug 2022)"

97 points Caro Maurer, MW (Decanter): "Made with fruit from 100-year-old vines, grown on blue slate, facing the Mosel. Clemens Busch works biodynamically, aiming to reflect his wines’ terroir, with the variety only the medium. The citrus fruit therefore plays a minor role, and it is more about the phenolic compounds, smoky hints and saline finish, which all add up to multi-layered complexity. A monumental wine. Drinking Window: 2021-2040. (Aug 2021)"

96+ points Ulrich Sautter (Falstaff) (11/21/22).

95 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 19 21. The 2020er Fahrlay Terrassen GG, as it is referred to on the main part of the label, was fermented spontaneously in traditional oak casks from fruit harvested in a prime terraced part of the blue-slate Fahrlay sector. It proves still remarkably backward and does not offer much beyond some wet stone and smoke at first. It takes a while (think days rather than hours) for the wine to open up and reveal its stunning nose made of cassis, fine spices, herbs, flowers, and subtly creamy smoke. The wine is beautifully juicy on the dry but not bone-dry palate and leaves a superbly airy and playful feel in the long finish. Everything is there for making a stunning wine at maturity. But this beauty will test one’s patience first. 2028-2040. (Nov 2021)"
