96 points Wine Spectator: "A super Corton, this boasts wild berry, macerated cherry and chalky, mineral flavors. Intense and succulent, with a silky texture and terrific energy that keep it vibrant through the long, long finish, where the tannins and mineral vie for attention. Best from 2015 through 2030. 5 cases imported. (2/29/12)"

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A surprisingly high-toned nose is exceptionally fresh with its earthy and beautifully layered notes of notably ripe cranberry and raspberry that precede the textured broad-scaled and big-boned flavors that are underpinned by very firm tannins and a palate staining and explosive finish that seems to go on and on. This is a big wine and while robust and muscular, it's not necessarily a bruiser. It is for the patient however. Drink: 2024+. (Jan 2012)"

94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2009 le Rognet had been bottled three months ahead of my visit and was showing superb potential. The deep and very classy nose offers up a fine mélange of red and black cherries, Pata Negra, raw cocoa, a nice touch of Corton spiciness, a lovely base of soil tones and a very refined touch of spicy oak in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, fullbodied, and rock solid at the core, with budding complexity, bright acids, fine focus and outstanding length and grip on the youthful and classy finish. All this excellent bottle of Corton needs is some time in the cellar. 2019-2050. (Sep/Oct 2011)"

94 points Fine Wine Review: "Last, the nose of the Corton-Rognet shows fresh red fruit with elegance for Corton, and good length. Hard to believe that this is 2009. The wine is pure with gamy dark fruit on the palate that is of excellent freshness. I’d drink this wine over the next 30+ years. (Issue #137; 2013)"
