95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Michel Mallard's Corton has a little more colour and guts than his Les Maréchaudes bottling, but is similarly polished and refined. Made from a 0.36ha parcel, with 60% whole bunches and 80% new wood, this is chalky and sappy with scented rose petal and red cherry top-notes followed by a focussed finish. Drinking Window: 2025-2032. (Nov 2018)"

94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Sensual and perfumed, Mallard's 2017 Corton Le Rognet Grand Cru bursts with aromas of peonies, orange rind, sweet spices, red berries and plums. Full-bodied, ample and layered, it's seamless and charming, with terrific depth at the core and melting structuring tannins. Drink: 2021-2037. (Mar 2022)"

93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Corton-Rognet Grand Cru shows a touch of leather on a slightly gamy nose of dark berry fruit and hints of cola and wild hedgerow. The harmonious palate is well balanced with fine tannins, nicely judged acidity and a detailed finish. Black pepper and clove linger on the aftertaste. This is excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting. Drink: 2023-2042. (Jan 2022)"

92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Clear bright colour of medium density. The bouquet is delicious – balanced, floral, intriguing. This is low key in intensity but I am thoroughly enjoying the detail of the bouquet. Rather richer than expected with a liqueur raspberry note at the back and good length. (Sep 2021)"
