98 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "An extremely concentrated and fine dry riesling with a very impressive structure for the very moderate alcohol content (12%). This is lovely to drink now, but if you really want to experience all the depths, then you will need to wait at least a couple of years. Very long, silky finish with a lot of mineral subtlety. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. (12/18/23)"

96 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2022 Riesling Königsbach Idig Grosses Gewächs is from old vines rooting in this south-south-east-facing, sheltered site of reddish calcareous marl, mixed with sandstone debrist and some basalt on top of Tertiary limestone. It is still shy on the nose. With more swirling, crushed citrus leaves come through. The palate is smooth and has the Idig serenity and smoothness, with an inherent coolness, creamy, slender, always with its balm-like, calm, soothing nature. Elegant, slender and poised. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2025-2050. (Dec 2023)"

95+ points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "From tertiary limestone soils, the Königsbach 2022 Riesling Idig VDP.Grosse Lage® opens with a deep and intense yet also refined and iodine-scented nose of ripe and elegant Riesling or Idig aromas. Full-bodied, dense and textural on the palate if not mellow due to its origin and a yeasty layer with remarkably fine tannins, this is a dense and persistently saline as well as savory Riesling with a long Pinot Noir like finish. It's still a little bit astringent but very promising. 12% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in December 2023. Drink: 2027-2045. (12/29/23)"

94 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 33 23. The 2022er Idig Königsbach Riesling, as it is referred to on the front label, offers a beautifully elegant and quite captivating nose of fresh herbs, candied citrusy fruits, mint, vineyard peach, almond, thyme, dill, bergamot, and a hint of fresh pear. The wine proves superbly complex on the delicately creamy yet incredibly playful palate. The superb feeling of airy creaminess is wrapped in a blanket of fine spices and leaves a hugely long and precise finish. This is a splendid dry Riesling in the making. 2027-2042. (Sep 2023)"
