This wine mirrors many of the best aromatic attributes of the Cailles and Vaucrains, and then synthesizes and elevates these components into a seamless and very classy whole redolent of black cherries, plums, gamebirds, minerals, espresso, fresh nutmeg and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, refined and focused, with great depth at the core, and beautiful detail and tangy acids on the long, complex and ripely tannic finish.
