The palate is very fine and matched with a superb line of acidity, the lively red fruit laced with subtle hickory and white pepper notes, fanning out nicely toward the finish while maintaining superb freshness. It has a simply gorgeous bouquet, coupled to a broad-shouldered, well-balanced and very powerful palate. The nose soars from the glass in a blaze of red and black cherries, black plums, dark chocolate, venison, woodsmoke, dark soil tones, new oak and a nice touch of violet in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very powerful in personality, with a bottomless core of pure fruit, excellent soil signature, ripe, firm tannins and a very, very long, nascently complex finish. This is a superb vintage of Pruliers in the making. 2035-2080. (Nov/Dec 2019)"
