94 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$176 list] A pretty red, boasting rose, sandalwood, black cherry, blackberry and woodsy, gamy notes backed by a spine of beefy tannins. Remains bright and focused, ending with a complex aftertaste of fruit, spice and woodsy elements. Best from 2025 through 2043. (2/1/23)"

93 points CellarTracker.com community score.

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Bursting with aromas of rose petals, orange rind, sweet wild berries, spices and dark chocolate, the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots is medium to full-bodied, lively and perfumed, with powdery tannins and a generous core of succulent fruit. (Jan 2021)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru has a ripe, very floral bouquet of kirsch and raspberry jam infused with pressed violet, quite opulent and generous. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very sorbet-like and slightly savory toward the finish, which features brown spices sprinkled over red berry fruit. Fine persistence here, although the oak will require time to assimilate. Drink: 2023-2038. (Dec 2020)"

90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.5 ha parcel that blends 40+ and 60+ year old vines). Here too there is just enough wood influence to mention framing the much spicier blend of red currant and dark cherry. The sleeker and more refined medium-bodied flavors possess even better detail and verve on the lingering if mildly toasty finish. (Jan 2021)"
