'Outstanding'/89-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from an abandoned quarry in an area abutting Meursault Perrières that was never classified). There is a discreet hint of mineral reduction to the smoky lemon-lime and white flower-suffused aromas. The rich, dense and again quite powerful medium-bodied flavors exude an almost aggressive minerality on the sappy, clean, dry and explosive finale. This isn't refined but it's certainly impressive in its fashion and while the default appellation is somewhat misleading, it's exceptionally rare to find a Bourgogne of this quality. Drink: 2029+. (Jun 2023)"

88-91 points Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mid yellow like the other wines to date. A little more fruit, a little less wood, a generous and accessible mouthful, flowing quite well across the palate, with a balanced and quite long finish. Drink from 2025-2028.. (Oct 2022)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "...There’s a plot in Meursault Perrières that was a quarry hole and later refilled. They had the right to plant but INAO said only with a Bourgogne label. The plot sits directly behind the wall of the Clos des Perrières. It was planted in 1977, delivering about 3,000 bottles... it goes without saying that you probably can’t buy a better bourgogne."

This Bourgogne is called "Terroir d'Exception" because its vineyard is situated in the heart of the Meursault Perrières appellation. This parcel produces a wine full of minerality and finesse, similar to Meursault 1er cru Perrières--and at less than half the price!
