Though officially classified as Bourgogne, the nose has both the weight and the style of a good Meursault, which is how the wine is priced. The plot sits directly behind the wall of the Clos des Perrières. It was planted in 1977, delivering about 3,000 bottles... it goes without saying that you probably can’t buy a better bourgogne."
This Bourgogne is called "Terroir d'Exception" because its vineyard is situated in the heart of the Meursault Perrières appellation. This parcel produces a wine full of minerality and finesse, similar to Meursault 1er cru Perrières--and at less than half the price!
