93 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(these 2015s were bottled in June of '17): Dark red with ruby tones. Very ripe, almost exotic aromas of black cherry, dark plum, licorice and menthol, with lower-pitched notes of damp earth and clove; less perfumed than the 2016 version. Compellingly rich and broad but showing a bit more alcoholic weight and warmth than the '16 (the alcohol here is 13.6%, vs. 13.2% for the earlier vintage) and already shutting down in the bottle. Finishes with broad, dusty, building tannins and strong medicinal reserve. Drink: 2025-2038. (Jan 2018)"

93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Notes of herbal tea, floral, spice and earth add breadth to the very ripe black raspberry and plum liqueur scents that are trimmed in both menthol and oak. The exceptionally rich, lush and concentrated big-bodied flavors coat the palate with sap before culminating in a youthfully austere, serious and wonderfully long finish. The nose is open – and openly knit offering sweet red and dark fruits brought forward by an earthy minerality. On the palate, rich and weighty with a generous mid-palate opulence. It’s pure and ripe .. with a fine balance – it’s early days so it still needs to settle down and focus. Drink from 2029. (3/23/16)"
