92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "This is the first time I have seen a bottling of Chiroubles from Daniel Bouland designated as 'Cuve No. 11' in the fine print, and I am not sure if this differs from his customary bottling of this Cru. The 2018 Cuve No. 11 is nicely ripe at fourteen percent octane and offers up a complex and sappy bouquet of plums, black cherries, a touch of chicory, a superb base of soil tones, woodsmoke, gamebird, gentle spice tones and a hint of currant leaf in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep. pure, complex and full-bodied, with great transparency and mid-palate intensity, modest tannins and outstanding length and grip on the complex and soil-driven finish. This is a lovely wine that is drinking with great style out of the blocks, but will have no difficulties aging as well. 2020-2035+. (Jan/Feb 2020)"

92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Bouland's 2018 Chiroubles bursts with aromas of ripe blackberries, red plums, violets and cracked black pepper. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with a succulent core of fruit, fine concentration and a long, lip-smacking finish. An especially gourmand rendition of this cuvée, it hails from a steep hillside site and is matured in tank. Drink: 2019-2033. (Aug 2019)"

91 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A restrained and very pretty nose shyly offers up cool aromas of both red and dark currant, soft earth and a whiff of spice nuances that include a pepper component. The delicious and relatively refined middle weight flavors exude a subtle minerality before concluding in a lingering, balanced and nicely complex finale where the only nit is a discreet hint of warmth. This is attractive and worth checking out. I would further note that while this appears to have enough potential to warrant a few years of cellaring, it’s not so structured to prevent it from being enjoyed now. 2023+. (Oct 2020)"
