There is ample wood on the palate as well and while it's mildly off-putting at present it's not enough to alter the mouth feel of the relatively fine and elegant flavors that possess both good volume and tannin-buffering dry extract, all wrapped in a balanced and impressively persistent finish. Even with the fine concentration this is probably at the limit of the amount of wood that the underlying material can absorb but importantly, because it doesn't alter the textured my predicted range assumes that the wood will ultimately be successfully integrated.
