98-99 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Stacks of almond paste character on the nose that leads you onto this rich and creamy, but extremely precise and silky palate. There's terrific concentration, but nothing feels a jot too much, instead everything is in its place. (8/8/23)"

97-99 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Fine pure lemon yellow. The bouquet starts off rather reserved. A suggestion of immense weight, certainly some new oak, but waiting for the fruit and the personality of the wine to emerge. Now some coconut and the feeling that the wine is about to release its magic. Superbly suave on the palate, more lifted than I expected and still the main core of the wine does not want to be touched. A fine mineral acidity at the finish but still wait and see. Only right at the end does it all start to kick in. A wine of immense density for the very long-term future. Retasting the glorious Cabotte reinforces the majesty of this Montrachet. (Oct 2023)"

98 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The 2022 Bouchard Montrachet is slightly reserved but has an immense presence on the palate, with a ripe apple and quince fruit, hints of white flowers, chalk, and exotic tangerine peel. The wine has enormous extract but all of the freshness necessary for balance as well – this is a superb expression of finesse and power at the same time. The grapes are from the domaine's 0.89 hectares on the Puligny side; they are lightly crushed and gently pressed, and only the finest must is fermented in cask before ageing over two winters in cask (15% new). This wine is a towering achievement. Drinking Window: 2030-2070. (5/30/23)"

98 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This is a substantially chalky and mineral Montrachet with a distinctly Puligny-ian flair and elegance. The vanilla bean nuances are countered by crushed stone. The honey is met with zesty citrus. The peach fuzz meshes with savory spices. The harmony and integration are impressive, and the finish is non-stop. The magic is already in place, but give this at least five to 15 years to allow it to begin to develop its full potential. (2024)"

95-97 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Montrachet Grand Cru is striking, exhibiting even more texture and power than the benchmark 2020 vintage did at the same stage. Wafting from the glass with aromas of pear, hazelnuts, white flowers, buttery pastry and confit orange, it's full-bodied, rich and layered, with incredible mid-palate volume and intensity. Large-scaled, textural and mouthfilling, it concludes with a long, expansive finish. (1/18/24)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Montrachet Grand Cru has a fresh, Granny Smith apple and sea spray-scented bouquet that gradually unfurls. The palate is well-balanced and vibrant, with superb weight, a taut line of acidity, and touches of orange pith and wild peach towards the finish. Excellent…but maybe I prefer the 2021? Drink: 2027-2050. (Jan 2024)"
